My ecommerce catalog audit tool is ready for my clients. I upload the product feed and within a few minutes I know where the catalog is losing visibility and what to fix first.

For an ecommerce team, a clean catalog is the foundation of organic search, Google Shopping, AI search and on-site filters, because they all read the same product data.

When that data is wrong, every channel gets weaker at the same time.
Catalog audit overview: products, completeness, issues by type
The audit overview: issues by type and completeness by category group

๐Ÿ” What the tool does

โ†’ Checks every product's Google category against Google's official taxonomy, flags invalid or wrong IDs, and suggests the correct one
โ†’ Scores attribute completeness for each product group (material, color, size, dimensionsโ€ฆ)
โ†’ Flags out-of-stock products, so each one gets a decision: keep the page, redirect it, or wait for the restock
โ†’ Separates attributes stored as real fields from those written only in titles
โ†’ Finds missing, thin and duplicated descriptions
โ†’ Matches keyword demand to the catalog to show which category and filter pages are worth building, and where demand has no products at all

and many more

Attribute gaps: structured, inferred and missing percentages per attribute
Attribute gaps: which values are real fields, which live only in titles, which are missing

โš ๏ธ What a catalog can lose without this check

โ†’ Visibility in AI search. Google's AI answers and shopping assistants like ChatGPT rely on structured product data. Hence, a product with a wrong category or missing attributes is much harder to recommend for a specific request like "3-seat velvet sofa."
โ†’ Products in the wrong Google category. Merchant Center accepts the ID without an error, so a bookcase can sit under "Tobacco Products" for months, shown for the wrong searches and weaker for the right ones.
โ†’ Filter and category pages that can't exist, because the attribute is buried in the title instead of being a field.
โ†’ Searches with real volume that land on a competitor, because no page matches them.
โ†’ Hours of manual review on spreadsheets with thousands of rows, before any fix even starts.

and many more

๐Ÿš€ What I'm adding next

Analytics data, and a daily stock check run by Hermes, the AI agent I run on a server 24/7.

๐Ÿค– Out of stock on a client's site? Hermes emails me

When a product goes out of stock, it can take days before anyone notices.

Meanwhile, the page keeps its organic traffic with nothing to sell, and the decision on what to do with that URL gets made too late, or never.

So I'm connecting my Catalog Audit Tool to Hermes.

Hermes out-of-stock alert workflow
From Merchant Center to my inbox, every morning

How it works

1
Every morning the tool reads the client's products from Merchant Center through the Merchant API
2
It saves a daily snapshot with stock and price for each product
3
Hermes compares today with yesterday and finds the products that just went out of stock
4
I get an email with the product, the link and a suggested next step: keep the page and show similar products while stock comes back, or redirect it to the category if the product is discontinued
The last step stays manual on purpose, because a redirect on the wrong page can cost rankings that took months to build.

For an ecommerce team this means reacting the same day, while the page still has its traffic.

๐Ÿ”’ I'm keeping the tool internal. Its value comes from how I read the results and turn them into fixes a team can actually ship.
