๐ŸŸค Make AI search trust your store

Isn't your store showing up in AI search? Start with this checklist.

A shopper who finds your store through AI Overviews or AI Mode has probably never heard of you, so before buying, they check one thing:

Are you worth the risk?

Google's quality guidelines ask the same question, and a lot of the answer sits on pages stores treat as an afterthought, like About, Shipping and Returns.

I turned the E-E-A-T framework into a working checklist for ecommerce, grouped into pillars:

The AI search trust checklist

1
Entity & Trust
A founder story, team bios with faces, press coverage and certifications that show you didn't appear yesterday.
2
Product Authority
Specs, buying guides and honest comparisons that answer what product copy can't, plus video of the product in use.
3
Social Proof
Verified reviews with customer photos, testimonials with real names and case studies with numbers.
4
Reputation Management
Public replies to negative reviews, a page collecting your ratings from each platform, and a steady flow of new reviews instead of a burst from last year.
5
Marketplace & Distribution
Optimized Amazon or eBay listings, a complete Google Business Profile and Google Shopping, so you show up while rankings catch up.
6
Transparency
Shipping times and costs up front, a clear return policy, a real support contact and sourcing details.
7
Community
Product FAQs, seasonal guides and a branded hashtag customers actually use.

It's not only SEO

I check every aspect in this checklist for each ecommerce client.

๐ŸŸก Note: the full checklist covers more pillars and the specific items to check on your own store.
